Good to know

How we help you choose a railing.

  • Height & code. Most towns require guard railing above a certain deck height and set baluster spacing rules. We build to your municipality's requirements.
  • Sightlines. Cable and glass keep views open; aluminum is slim; composite and picket feel more substantial and private.
  • Maintenance. Aluminum, composite, and cable are essentially wash-and-go. Wood picket railing needs staining along with the deck.
  • Color coordination. Black aluminum works with nearly every decking color. Composite railing can match or contrast your boards.
